The practice of Yoga can be done in a bed, on a chair, mat, inside, outside... anywhere, anytime.
If you can breathe,
you can do yoga.
Moving your body, breathing mindfully, learning subtle energy practices and then having space to rest and turn your thoughts inwards boosts your health, energy and vitality.
There are different practices of yoga to suit every body - vigorous and flowing to help energise or slow and flowing to calm.
I'm qualified to teach Vinyasa flow yoga, Hatha, Accessible Chair Yoga, Prenatal, Restorative and Yoga Nidra.
Whatever practice you need I am here to offer guidance and direct you to another class if mine won't suit you.
There is no perfect time to start a yoga practice. All you need to do is turn up and I'll take care of the rest!

Ayurveda is the art of living in tune with the seasons, climate and your own dosha - your unique constitution.
In sanskrit Ayus means life
or living
and Veda means Science
or knowledge
so Ayurveda is the knowledge of living and being in harmony with one's internal and external environment. The depth of wisdom in this traditional medical system of India is profoundly inspiring
This is one of the oldest healing systems on our planet for keeping you healthy and increasing your longevity..
Your digestion and vitality are essential components of Ayurveda: one feeding into the other.
The sanskrit word for vitality is Ojas and is built through good digestion of both food and emotions, elimination, enough sleep and rest, appropriate diet for your dosha and herbs as required.
Enhancing health, vitality, wellbeing & joy with holistic, completely individual programs.

Hi, I'm Emma Reilly D'Souza.
I live in Denmark, WA and teach accessible, enjoyable practices that incorporate physical asana, pranayama (breathwork), meditation, mudra and philosophy. I also lead Yoga& Ayurveda retreats, workshops and private practices.
Your vitality and health is important to me. My aim is to help you explore and interpret the language of your body with the tools of Yoga & Ayurveda as your guide.
I have certifications in Yoga, Accessible Yoga, Ayurvedic Health & lifestyle, Reiki and Remedial massage. And a degree in Japanese & Spanish.
All of these inform my abiding passion for the language of connection & vitality that our bodies speak.
Every ache, pain, mood and illness is a conversation. Ayurveda and Yoga provide an intelligent and solid framework to become skilled in this language.
My passion is to help you explore this language for yourself : to build and harness your energy for vitality, longevity and joy, to feel empowered, capable and resilient.
Let's begin!

SANKALPA - "Take yourself lightly and your sankalpa seriously"
How to make your sankalpa - a guide
A sankalpa is sometimes referred to as an intention or affirmation. This is much too simplified. It is more like a sacred vow and relates to your heart’s deepest desire for personal and community betterment.
We often think about setting intentions at the start of a year, giving ourselves motivation for the year ahead with goals and lists and boxes to be ticked off over 12 months. A sankalpa is different; less achieving/ do-ing and more mindful be-ing that can remain with you for months, years or a lifetime.
Yogi Indu Arora defines sankalpa this way: Sankalpa is a promise we make to ourselves every single day—to manifest our deepest resolve. It is the promise to know the real Self, beyond all possible layers of adjuncts, limitations and adjectives. It is a call to show up, focus, and act according to our physical, mental, emotional, and pranic capacity. Rise beyond procrastination, peel off layers of inertia, and show up for yourself.
So how do we make one? Firstly find a place to sit quietly where you won't be disturbed and become present to your inner world. Start sifting through ideas, emotions and thoughts about this very topic and when you feel ready, make a list of the ones that feel significant. Even the simple ones might be important. Spend some time reflecting on this list and translate what these mean.
For example my overriding thoughts might be that I really want to own a house. If I reflect on this I might find another layer - that what I actually want is to provide security and stability for myself or family. Worthy goals. If I sit with this for a bit longer I find that it’s not so much the house, as what it represents; that security and stability is something I want to feel every day, deep within. I want to feel safe and secure in every moment regardless of interest rates, joys and sorrows of daily life. So as I arrive at this layer I can recognise that my deep driving desire is to feel safe, stable and secure. And if I feel secure and safe then I will be able to respond to life from this position that I am not lacking and that I have what I need deep within.
If this is what stands out for me amongst all the other notes I have made (and you will feel a connection to the sankalpa that stands out the most) then I take the next step and transform this into my personal sankalpa.
We do this by transforming it into a personal “I am” statement.
“I am safe and secure in every moment.”
You become your sankalpa by being it in daily life, moment to moment and repeating this sacred vow to yourself at every opportunity; at the beginning of your practice, before and after meditation and when going to bed.
I hope this has helped you understand this term sankapla a little more. Please reach out if you'd like more information or a hand with yours :)
"You are what your deep, driving desire is. As your desire is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny." Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

I acknowledge the the Bibelmen and Minang people of Noongar Boodjar on which I live, work and play. I recognise their resilience, their care and continued connection to the land and waters of this beautiful place. I acknowledge that they never ceded sovereignty.
Namaskar
I bow to you.
